More ado about nothing. For some reason, I have the order sheet for what must be the fiancee's senior picture, since it's for 1962-63 (not my high school pic) Senior Portrait Price List (I'm a sophomore).

Somewhere, I thought I still had his picture, which is the one ordered here for $9.00 (an "oil" portrait, but I can't find it anywhere. Perhaps over the years.... I don't remember throwing it away - I don't think I was capable of throwing it away, but sometimes it hurt to look at it, so I may have put it in something that got thrown away - or perhaps it's still here, somewhere, and I will uncover it one day, and think, oh, damn. I wish we were young again.

Another piece of nothing to make something out of. Mountains out of molehills. Or, in this case, some kind of contemplative meaning out of a printed map of the army base at Ft. Knox, KY in 1963.

Okay, what are the salient points - the visiting points - there's the chapel, the post exchange, the recreation hall, Theater No. 3, and the visitor's lounge, to mention just a few.

And then there are the streets. Probably worth the most mention. You have your numbered streets - Seventh and Ninth surround the compound. Probably named by the city itself. Then there are streets named for states - South Carolina, Maryland, Delaware, Nevada, Texas (East Texas, actually), Utah and Dakota. And now - the U.S. Army's salute to the Indian tribes they decimated: Apache, Seneca, Iroquois, Huron, Seminole. The Triangle Chapel is on a triangle of land bordered by Seventh, East Texas, and South Iroquois.

A mediating influence?

Ack! I thought last time was tough. I made up an entire entry from blank pieces of stationery. And today, the offering is: Period One Answer Sheet Slide Drill in "Holding". Numbers down the side go from C-11-C-18. The other side is the same, except for Slide Drill in "Reading", and the numbers C-21-C-32.

What the hell does "Holding" have to do with "Reading"? Why, as I look this old 3x4" piece of paper over, do I want to see the questions? Why do I want to try for the right answers? What is it that makes us want to pit ourselves against this useless crap? Just to see if we can do it. Just to see if we have the right answers?

Larry's name is at the top. Several "answers" are circled. I wonder if he passed the test.
